At Mestalla Stadium, Real Madrid achieved their second victory in just four days against Valencia, winning with a score of 0-5, thanks to goals by Higuaín, Di María (2), and Cristiano Ronaldo (2). This result ties up the best winning streak in the club’s history for consecutive wins on the road against Valencia for the national championship. They have visited them four times in a row, carrying away the three points.

The white team has been able to come out as the victors in 24 of their League visits to play Valencia, where they have accumulated four consecutive victories after Sunday’s win. Last season the team played the 13th game at Mestalla Stadium and won by 2-3, thanks to goals by Benzema, Sergio Ramos, and Cristiano Ronaldo, and two games ago they won 3-6 in the 33rd game for the championship with goals by Benzema, two from Kaká, and a hat trick by Higuaín. In the 2009/2010 season, the Argentinean was also decisive with two goals, plus a goal by Garay, for a 2-3 victory in game 14.
