José Mourinho met the press in the press room at Ciudad Real madrid the day before their meeting in the League against Mallorca. The white team coach analysed the "difficult" meeting his team would have against the Balearic team in the Iberostar stadium: “It is going to be a complicated match. Mallorca is a good team, they have a great coach, and the island is a difficult place to visit. We have to try and come home with the three points, but it is clear that it is going to be a very difficult match. I had my debut there with Real Madrid and we have played two complicated matches in which we drew the first and won the other almost at the end. It is always difficult and the memory I have is of drawing or winning with difficulty, so I think tomorrow the match will not be far from those characteristics".

The Real Madrid coach referred to Sergio Ramos, who is travelling to Mallorca despite not exercising in the last training sessions: “He's okay and he can play. There is an injury risk for everyone, and more so for those who have not been with us for 15 days, but his problem is not muscular. He is a player who thinks of the team and he has made himself available because he knows that the team has problems at the back. It is to be praised that he is available despite not having trained in the last few days".

On being questioned about the situation of another defender, Carvalho, the Portugese was clear: “We have a lot of central defenders and they are all good. He is one of them, he is the oldest, the one with fewer years ahead of him, the one who finishes his contract at the end of the season and who will not renew it. We have a central defender of 19 years of age, who could be playing for Real Madrid C or in Castilla, but in Castilla the central defenders are 24 or 25 years old. He is playing in the first team and is doing it at a high level. Ramos and Pepe are very good and fully trained. Albiol is also an optimum player. Carvalho is working well, is an optimum professional ans if we have problems one day he may play".

Mourinho also spoke about three other names: Higuaín, Benzema and Modric. Regarding the first two he commented: “They are two good players and the fact that they have more or less goals does not bother me because they will get to the end of the season with more or less the same numbers as last season. A goal more or a goal less". Regarding the Croat, he revealed: “He is following his normal evolution and in my opinion is better every day. I am happy with his development whether or not he plays tomorrow. He can play in the three midfield positions, that is why he is here. We signed a player in full knowledge of his versatility, and whenever he has played he has performed well. I trust him more and more. He is better every time and better adapted".

About the home-grown Nacho, the Portuguese indicated: “It is a problem because in Castilla he is a central defender and in the first team a right back. It is a problem because normally a player's training should not contain contradictions , and in the first team he will not play as a central defender and in his usual team he does. If the education has contradictions it is more difficult , and in the final stages of his sporting education there are contradictions".

Asked about the match against Dortmund, he revealed: “I am not worried about the loss. Last year we won the six group stage matches and we didn't win the Champions League. It doesn't count for much winning the six group matches. The previous season we won five and drew one and it was also for nothing. The objective is to classify for the knock-out stage".

On being asked about Essien and the left back position, Mourinho replied ironically: "Tomorrow the left back will be Higuaín. He is fast, strong, he crosses well with his left foot and he scores goals". Finally he did not want to enter into a discussion about the vote for Casillas for the Golden Ball: "It has nothing to do with me. It's not important".
