Sergio Ramos gave his point of view about the Clasico to the media. The White’s vice captain praised Real Madrid’s efforts: "We are happy about the team’s hard work and good display. We went out to play from the beginning but we’re going home wanting more and with bittersweet feeling. If we had won it would not have surprised anyone, these things happen in football".
After playing 90 minutes in the Nou Camp, Sergio Ramos highlighted Real Madrid’s attitude and was sorry that the great display did not bring a victory: "Our game and hard work was better than Barcelona. Anyone who saw the match would not have been surprised if we had won. On other occasions we have recognised that Barcelona were better but that would not have been what happened today if we had won".
Although they have not managed to cut the points difference, Ramos said that Real Madrid will fight to the end: "The league is very long, there a lot of it left. We wanted to reduce the distance between us but that has not happened. We hope to do in the coming matches" Finally, would not engage in the controversy about the referee's decisions: "He is a referee who I like. Özil’s penalty seemed clear, but we are not to a team that enters into debates about referees".
