This Sunday (21:30, Canal + 1) Real Madrid visits Vallecas with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored against Rayo in both the matches he has played against them (match day 5 and 24 last season). The Portuguese player made his debut in this Madrid derby, which hadn't taken place since the 2002-2003 season, with a hat-trick in the Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid had to stage a comeback and finished the match with a resounding 6-2 win with three goals from Ronaldo, two of them penalty shots. His contribution in Vallecas was quite different. He only scored one goal, but it was decisive and will always be remembered as his back heel kick earned the Whites victory and left the stadium open-mouthed.

Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick against Rayo in the Bernabéu was no easy feat. Real Madrid started off trailing on the scoreboard after a goal from Michu, but the Portuguese player scored an equaliser in the 39th minute with a powerful shot. Higuaín scored the second and Cristiano the third (51') after converting a penalty committed against Kaká. Then it was Benzema and Varane's turn and, lastly, Ronaldo achieved his hat-trick (84') converting another penalty, this time one he himself provoked.

In Vallecas Real Madrid had to suffer much more in order to beat a very motivated Rayo. However, once again, Ronaldo appeared to score the decider with an ingenious move in the 54th minute. The Portuguese player collected the corner that Özil had taken and, with his back to the goal, gave an incredible back heel kick that passed underneath various Rayo players. It was the Whites' victory goal and Ronaldo's fourth against Rayo in two matches.
