Cristiano Ronaldo has been the outstanding figure in recent matches between Real Madrid and Sevilla. In the last three games, the Portuguese forward has found the net eight times. His best performance came two seasons ago, when he scored four times at the Sánchez Pizjuán. Last season, he netted a hat-trick in Seville and scored a single goal at the Santiago Bernabéu. With a total of nine goals in five games, Sevilla are the team against which Cristiano has recorded his second highest goal scoring tally in the top flight, second only to Malaga, against whom he has scored ten.
Real Madrid visit the Sánchez Pizjuán (10:00pm, Canal + 1) hoping to pick up their sixth straight win against Sevilla. A series of positive results for which Cristiano is largely responsible. The number seven for the Whites started his tally against the Andalusian team in the second game of the 2009/10 season. Real Madrid triumphed 3-2 at home and Cristiano scored the first.
The best of Cristiano has come in the last three games. In Seville, the first two outings resulted in 2-6 wins. Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals in the 2010/11 season and a hat-trick in 2011/12. His last goal against the team managed by Michel was in the 36th league game last season. The Portuguese opened the scoring in a game which Benzema would make safe with a brace.
