Jose Mourinho is no stranger to the great moment The Factory is enjoying after the promotions of Castilla and Real Madrid C. The Portuguese coach gave the opportunity this summer for a large number of home-grown players to train under his orders and has finally decided that Jesus, Nacho and Morata should go through to make up part of the first team. The three join Casillas, Adan, Arbeloa and Callejon as the group of players trained in the lower categories of Real Madrid. This means the white team with the greatest presence of home-grown players since Mourinho arrived in the club in 2010.

Seven of the 24 members of the 2012/13 team , in other words 30% , are a product of the Madrid home-grown talent pool. Iker Casillas tops the list as team captain and the mirror in which the rest of the young men view themselves.Together with him , two other footballers trained in Ciudad Real Madrid , Adan and Jesus , will be responsible for defending the goal this season. Arbeloa and Callejon were trained in different teams of The Factory during five and six years respectively. Later, after passing through different clubs, they came straight back to the first team. Finally , Nacho and Morata , who together with Jesus were key elements in the promotion of Castilla , are going to work under the orders of Mourinho and will be able to play with the first team and the offshoot.

The presence of home-grown players has increased with respect to the two first seasons of the Portuguese coach in Real Madrid , in which there were five house players. In both seasons, Casillas, Adan, Arbeloa and Granero made up part of the team. They were joined in 2010 by Mateos (although he left the team in the winter market ) and in 2011 by Callejon.
