Productive and distinguished The actions of the Real Madrid players with  their national teams has not gone unnoticed at an international level. Their game and their goals led to their respective national teams taking home the trophy. Seven out of eight of the national teams in which Real Madrid players played won. Özil, with a double; Cristiano, with one  goal and leading the comeback of his team; and Di María and Huguaín getting goals in, were all examples of the high which Real Madrid's international players are riding on at the moment.

Mesut Özil. This player was crucial in victory against the Faroe Islands He already signalled his intentions during the first few minutes of the match, when he attempted a shot which ended up being caught by the goalkeeper. But the onslaught by Real Madrid did not stop there. During the second half, a double by the White decided the outcome of the first match for the Germans to go through to the World Cup. In his country,  where he holds two doubles with the national teams, they call him "The Magician of football" and are amazed at how he plays, the sporting press calling it "free style".

Cristiano Ronaldo. With Portugal he scored the drawing goal and led his team in its comeback. Despite the match having been complicated by an early goal by Mota (14th minute), the Portuguese leader did not give up the fight and knew exactly how to react. So, in the 28th minute he scored his goal, which meant the two teams were now drawing. It's a goal that is added to the four he has scored in five matches with Real Madrid. Real Madrid's Number 7 played throughout the entire match against Luxembourg.

Gonzalo Higuaín. The Argentine is another player who is riding high at the beginning of this season. The only football player of la Liga to have scored in the first three match days of the championship, prolonged his scoring streak this morning against Paraguay. El Pipa ensured 2-1 for Argentina and was one of the best of his selection. He was in the starting 11 and played throughout the entire match.

Ángel di María. He opened up the way for Argentina's victory, scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. He took charge of organising the team's offensive work and  demonstrated the same level of fitness that he has shown with Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup, where he scored a goal in the Camp Nou stadium, and at the kick-off of la  Liga. He was part of the starting 11 with the Argentinian national team until the 78th minute when Sabella substituted him for Guiñazú.
