Sergio Ramos spoke to the media. The Real Madrid defender praised his team's work and analysed a match that leaves everything still to be decided in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu: “We've done a good job and the title is still undecided. Now we need to switch off, rest, think about the Liga and prepare as well as possible to win the match against Getafe”.
The Whites' second captain also spoke about Pepe's absence and Albiol's great performance in Catalonian territory: “No one questions that Pepe is important to the team, but we have a very large squad and Albiol has stood in for him very well. He's proven that he's also perfectly capable of being in the starting line-up”.
His teammate Arbeloa expressed how the players are feeling with respect to the second leg match: “I'm optimistic, there's still the second leg to go and you have to be cool-headed. We arrived here very motivated and we didn't want to lose. Perhaps their first goal conditioned the match to some degree”.
The Real Madrid right back is conscious that there is hardly time to think about this match and he is already focussing on the game against Getafe in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez: “What's most important now is the match against Getafe. It's a pitch where they always make things complicated for us and it will be another difficult battle. The beginning of the season is always tough and it's very hot. Let's see if we can rest and arrive on Sunday in good form”.
