José Mourinho is a specialist in managing his squad. For proof you need look no further than the stats from the last campaign. In fact, the four Liga matches that Real Madrid played last season after its players' international commitments all ended the same way, with victory for the Whites. Real Madrid were the only team to win all four fixtures after the 'FIFA virus', beating Getafe, Betis and Espanyol in home matches and Valencia in an away game. Real Madrid have their Liga debut this Sunday against Valencia. The match takes place the same week that fourteen of the footballers on the squad were called up to play international matches for their national sides. It's a setback that few know how to manage as well as José Mourinho. In fact, in the last campaign the Whites won the four matches they played under these very conditions with an average of four goals per game.
