Higuaín played the whole match.
Spectacular goal from Di María in Argentina's victory against Germany. The Whites' midfielder scored his team's third goal in a match that soon went in favour of the visitors after the penalty and later expulsion of the German keeper Zieler (30'). Messi took the penalty and missed, but Argentina went into halftime ahead on the scoreboard thanks to a stroke of luck. In trying to clear a corner, Khedira scored an own goal (45').
In the second half Messi (52') extended their lead and Di María performed the work of art of this day of international matches with a powerful shot from more than 20 metres away (72'). Howedes reduced the lead with nine minutes to go until the end of the match. Higuaín, whose shot hit the post on one goal opportunity, played the whole match, while Özil and Khedira were substituted in the 68th and Di María six minutes later.
