Cristiano Ronaldo was once again one of Portugal's standout players, guiding his team towards victory in the friendly against Panama. The Real Madrid forward, who was substituted in the 61st minute, scored his team's second and deciding goal against the Central American team with a powerful shot in front of goal. Coentrão played the whole game.
Portugal only needed half an hour of play to take the lead against Panama. Nélson Oliveira was responsible for the first goal, which put the team ahead going into halftime. In the second half the Portuguese were left with a numerical advantage after Gabriel Gómez was sent off (50'). They made the most of it a minute later with the deciding goal from Cristiano Ronaldo, who was substituted in the 61st. Coentrão played the whole game. Portugal finished the clash with fourteen shots at goal to one from their rival.
