There were ups and downs in the day of international matches for the fourteen Real Madrid footballers that played friendlies with their national sides. Portugal beat Panama (2-0) with a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and Spain won their match against Puerto Rico (1-2) with Xabi Alonso becoming the fourth Spanish player with most caps. Argentina beat Germany in the only showdown between fellow players from the Real Madrid squad with Di María scoring the day's most spectacular goal. France, with Benzema playing, drew nil-all with Uruguay and Turkey fell to Austria (2-0) in a clash in which Sahin played the last half hour.

The Whites' midfielder played the last half hour of the match between Turkey and Austria in the Ernst Happel in Vienna. The Turkish team was beaten (2-0). Kavlac and Ivanschitz both scored for the home team barely six minutes into the game..

Özil and Khedira, for Germany, and Di María and Higuaín, for Argentina, played in this clash between Real Madrid national team footballers, which the visiting team won. Di María scored what was possibly the best goal of this day of international matches (72'). Khedira, an own goal, and Messi were responsible for Argentina's other goals. Howedes (81`) reduced the lead. Higuaín played the whole match, while Özil and Khedira were substituted in the 68th and Di María five minutes later.
 

Benzema played in the nil-all draw with Uruguay

Cristiano Ronaldo was once again one of Portugal's standout players, guiding his team towards victory in the friendly against Panama. The Real Madrid forward, who was substituted in the 61st minute, scored his team's second and deciding goal against the Central American team with a powerful shot in front of goal.  Coentrão played the whole game..

Spain beat Puerto Rico on their home ground (1-2). Xabi Alonso, who became the fourth Spanish player with most caps, and Albiol, who played the whole game, were in the starting line-up. Arbeloa went on for the injured Juanfran in the 16th minute, while Ramos hit the pitch after halftime and Casillas played the last 20 minutes of the game.
