Real Madrid finished this pre-season's USA tour in brilliant fashion against Celtic F.C. from Glasgow. Over the tour they have played four matches and have bagged four victories. In total, the Whites have played six training matches over which they have scored 21 goals and now face the start of a new official season which will begin at the Santiago Bernabéu next Sunday. One of the team's great players has been José Callejón, the team's top striker with five goals under his belt.

Real Madrid kicked off the pre-season on the 16th July at Valdebebas and their first training game was on the 24th against Oviedo. Mourinho's team imposed themselves at the Nuevo Carlos Tartiere stadium finishing 1-5 thanks to goals from Lucas, Denis, Granero and the double by Di María. A few days later, on the 27th, it was in Lisbon where they faced Benfica during a clash which the Portuguese won and during which Callejón scored Real Madrid's two goals.

Then, on the 28th, the team went to Los Angeles to continue their training during an American tour in which they played four games and bagged four victories. In the first match, on the 3rd August, the Whites faced Los Angeles Galaxy where the ex-White Beckham plays, with a score of 1-5 to Real Madrid and with goals from Higuaín, Di María, Callejón, Morata and Jesé. Then they went to Las Vegas to play against Santos Laguna, the current champion of the Mexican Clausura Trophy, at the Sam Boyd Stadium, during which Real Madrid won 2-1, with goals from Xabi Alonso and Khedira.

The third game of the American tour took place on the 9th August against Milan at the Yankee Stadium in New York and the Whites played a great match, crushing the most prized team in Europe 5-1. Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice and Di María, Ramos and Callejón took care of the rest of the Whites' goals. The tour finished with the last friendly, played on the 11th August against Celtic F.C. from Glasgow. The team then went to Philadelphia where it won again (2-0) thanks to goals from Callejón and Benzema, during a clash which was played on the Lincoln Financial Field.
