The Real Madrid player Marcelo is immersed in the Olympic Games competition with the Brazilian national team. Prior to the quarter-final match in which they go up against Honduras, the wing back took the opportunity to speak of his club and especially of Mourinho, of whom he said, "I've learned a lot from him and I want to continue learning” He also referred to Brazil's participation in the Olympics and their being favourites to take the gold, “Brazil is always under pressure to win”.
Marcelo mentioned his current coach in Real Madrid, José Mourinho, “I'm very grateful to him for putting his trust in me. I've learned a lot with him and I want to continue learning, but I still have to improve a lot". He also spoke of his teammate Kaká, saying that his staying with the Whites would be "good for Real Madrid and good for Kaká".
In addition, he talked about Brazil's role at the Olympics, "We're under pressure to be champions. Brazil is always under pressure to win, but in these Games and taking into account that we've never been Olympic champions, perhaps we're more focused and calmer in order to achieve our objective”.
