Esteban Granero, who played the second half against Galaxy, discussed the state of the squad after playing his third preparation match: "The team still has the same identity as last year. We are gaining momentum with lots of training sessions. This match was more like a training session and has helped us gain confidence. The team is ready, it is the same as scored lots of goals and lots of points last season. The team is primed and we have changed practically nothing".

A player like Granero, coming through the lower ranks, is the best example for the youth academy players who are sharing the dressing room with the first team at the moment. The midfielder praised the work of the players of The Factory: "There are quite a few here, when I was an academy player there were far fewer. They are here and are helping a lot. The coach is giving them the opportunity and they are trying to take full advantage. We are excited about the way that they played. If they keep working well things will turn out very well. They are on the right track".
