Real Madrid had its fifth training session on the North Athletic Field, kicking off the third day of training at UCLA. The Whites worked hard during a session where the dominating theme was the effort required during exercises with the ball. Varane, who trained without the others the day before, re-joined the group's training sessions.
José Mourinho and his coaching staff organised a session in which the 25 football players who trained on the lawn of UCLA's sports facilities worked at a good pace. It was a good display of the efforts made by previous trainers having paid off and the Whites beginning to boost their physical fitness.
Always with the ball as the most important element, the Real Madrid players were divided into two training groups. The first played a formidable training match in a confined area and the second practised centring the ball and taking shots at the goalpost. In both groups the goalkeepers could be seen, who joined the group after training with Silvino Louro.
