Real Madrid pre-season opener was a convincing 5-1 win against Real Oviedo. A team that Morata’s youth academy team know well as they played them in last year’s campaign in a match where the Castilla were mathematically crowned champions of the Second Division B. "It was a nice game in front of a crowd that it always very supportive," he said.
Morata's face reflected his happiness, not only by the Whites’ convincing opening pre-season victory against Real Oviedo, but also for having been picked by Mourinho: "The important thing is to have minutes on the pitch and play with the first team. Playing with Real Madrid makes you a better player. The coach knows he can count on me for anything he needs".
After returning to training just over a week ago, the White’s forward has been training with the first team "with double sessions and that helps us get to full speed quickly". It provides us chance to "learn a lot because there are great players here. All I want is to continue improving as a player".
