Álex Fernández was happy after Real Madrid’s first pre-season victory. The midfielder played a leading role and played the whole game: "It was a good start for us. We played well and with focus, we have begun with goals and that's always important".
The academy player gave positive marks to the contribution of the Castilla players in the game, " Mourinho has shown confidence the youth academy in recent years and we try to reciprocate. Is a real luxury for us to share pitch time and changing room with the first team. They treat us brilliantly and the atmosphere is very good".
Álex was the only player who played 90 minutes: "I do not care where the coach plays me because I just want to play. I felt very comfortable on the field. I felt that all my team-mates really got into the game. We played a good game and we're here to help the first team when needed".
