The squad returned to training after the rest day back following the win against Manchester City. The Whites began to prepare for Sunday's visit to the Vallecas stadium where they’ll play against Rayo (21:30; Canal + 1). On pitch 1 at Real Madrid’s Football City, the ten outfield players who left started against the English took part in a light recovery session, while the remainder, amongst whom were the C team players Llorente, Suárez, Noblejas, Barril, Ángel, Kamal, Aguza, Burgui and Mariano, played a match with three small goals per team.

The Whites took part in their first session to prepare Sunday's match against Rayo Vallecano in Real Madrid's Football City. José Mourinho divided his players into three groups. In the first were the ten outfield players who were started in the victory against Manchester City. Arbeloa, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo, Khedira, Essien, Alonso, Di María, Ronaldo and Higuaín took part in a recovery session lead by assistant coach Rui Faria.

In the second, much larger group that trained at a higher intensity, were the other outfield players which the Portuguese included in the session. They played a small match with three goals per team. Among them were nine Real Madrid C players: Llorente, Suárez, Noblejas, Barril, Ángel, Kamal, Aguza, Burgui and Mariano. Casillas, Adán and Jesús worked on specifics with goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
