Luka Modric opened the first international game for Real Madrid players. The midfielder was in Croatia’s first eleven against South Korea in London (4-0). Ramos fought the entire clash with Spain against Uruguay at Khalifa Stadium in Doha (3-1), while Arbeloa didn’t go out on the green. Higuaín and Di María, in the first line-up, were key to Argentina’s victory in Sweden (2-3). “Fideo” assisted Agüero in the second goal and “Pipa” scored the third goal for their national team and was decisive in the first goal by kicking a shot at Lustig, who sent it into his own net. Benzema’s France was defeated at home by the German team with Özil and Khedira playing (1-2). The latter scored the winning goal on a pass from his Real Madrid teammate. Coentrão and Cristiano Ronaldo, in spite of a combination play between the two that ended up in a second goal, were defeated playing for Portugal at home against Ecuador (2-3).
Ramos played the whole game in Spain’s win over Uruguay (3-1)
Arbeloa and Ramos travelled to Catar to face Uruguay with the Spanish national team. The latter played the whole game, while the former didn't get out on the green in the national team's triumph at Doha's Khalifa Stadium (3-1).
