Real Madrid

Luka Modric opened the first international game for Real Madrid players. The midfielder was in Croatia’s first eleven against South Korea in London (4-0). Ramos fought the entire clash with Spain against Uruguay at Khalifa Stadium in Doha (3-1), while Arbeloa didn’t go out on the green. Higuaín and Di María, in the first line-up, were key to Argentina’s victory in Sweden (2-3). “Fideo” assisted Agüero in the second goal and “Pipa” scored the third goal for their national team and was decisive in the first goal by kicking a shot at Lustig, who sent it into his own net. Benzema’s France was defeated at home by the German team with Özil and Khedira playing (1-2). The latter scored the winning goal on a pass from his Real Madrid teammate. Coentrão and Cristiano Ronaldo, in spite of a combination play between the two that ended up in a second goal, were defeated playing for Portugal at home against Ecuador (2-3).

Ramos played the whole game in Spain’s win over Uruguay (3-1)
Arbeloa and Ramos travelled to Catar to face Uruguay with the Spanish national team. The latter played the whole game, while the former didn't get out on the green in the national team's triumph at Doha's Khalifa Stadium (3-1).

Croatia, with Modric, trounced South Korea (4-0)
Luka Modric was in the starting line-up for the game played by Croatia against South Korea in London. The white squad’s midfielder, replaced at 71 minutes of play, was one of the outstanding players in the Balkan team’s 4-0 victory. The Real Madrid player assisted Nikica Jelavic for their team's third goal.

Higuaín and Di María, key against Sweden
Both were in the first line-up and were key to Argentina’s victory in Sweden (2-3). “Fideo," who was replaced at half time, assisted Agüero for the second goal and “Pipa,” who retired from the playing field in the extra time for the second half, scored his team’s third goal and was decisive in the first one, by kicking a shot at Lustig, who sent it into his own net.

It was the duel with the most Real Madrid football players, since Benzema was pitted against Özil and Khedira. The latter scored the winning goal on a pass from his Real Madrid teammate. The three players were in throughout the entire game.

Paulo Bento had the two Real Madrid players involved from the beginning of the friendly game against Ecuador in Guimarães. Cristiano Ronaldo, who played his 101st game with Portugal’s team and played for 62 minutes, scored his team's first goal on a pass from Coentrão, who played the whole game.
