Raúl Albiol completed his third season with Real Madrid, winning the first la Liga trophy in his sporting career. The Real Madrid defender formed part of the record-breaking Real Madrid and did not lose any of the 10 matches which he played last year in the First Division. His commitment and professionalism over three seasons at Real Madrid has played a central role in his contract with the team being extended until 2017.
Albiol arrived at the club in 2009 and since then he has shown his hard work, effort and skill throughout the 92 official matches he has played with them. He's got one goal under his belt whilst at Real Madrid, namely the one scored during the 2009-2010 Champions League against Olympique de Marseille.
A Liga and a Copa del Rey make up his list of victories as a Real Madrid player. To this we must add his presence as a Real Madrid player on the Spanish national team. Kitted out in white, he has won a World Cup and a European Football Championship.
