The Nova Creu Alta stadium will be the setting for Liga Adelante’s twenty-sixth match day match between two teams that haven’t faced each other since the 1992-93 season. A new challenge for Castilla, who will be looking for their third consecutive victory against Sabadell in a match for which recent midfield signing, Casemiro has been picked (20:00). They a tough opponent that have only lost two matches on home turf and will be looking to bounce back from the 5-1 defeat against Almeria last time out.
It is the second away trip in a row for Castilla, who will be travelling to the Nova Creu Alta to play in match day twenty-sixth of the Liga Adelante against Sabadell. It is a match into which the Whites’ reserve team come with optimism following recent performances. The last two wins against Almeria and Xerez have changed the Whites mindset and they will be looking to get their third straight win and keep climbing positions in the table. That is what Casado made clear in the pre-match build up: "I think we can keep improving and moving up the table and hopefully in two or three weeks we will be there fighting for the top positions".
Sat in the calm zone of the table (thirteenth), Real Madrid Castilla visit Sabadell for the first time in 20 years. The Whites, who have been more solid defensively, hope to maintain their consistency at the back and trust in the success of their forwards in attack. Alberto Toril has named 18 players for this match with the main news being the inclusion of the Whites’ recent signing, Casemiro, who could make his debut.
For their part, Sabadell are having a good campaign and are in tenth place with 36 points and are three points out of the promotion places. The Catalans have been strong at home where they have only lost two matches and have scored 23 goals and conceded 11. The bad result against Almeria (1-5) that they got in the last match will give Castilla further confidence. For Sabadell, the team led by Lluis Carreras trust in the attacking capability of their forward Lanzarote, who is their top scorer with 11 goals.
