Castilla forward Jesé Rodríguez is off to a great start with Castilla in the Liga Adelante. In his second campaign with Toril as coach the Canary Islander has increased his offensive play and has already racked up three goals in the five league match days played so far. Jesé is the Real Madrid reserve team's top goal-scorer during the start of the competition, followed by Juanfran with two goals.
The forward is unquestionably a key player Alberto Toril's team and continues to improve progressively. Last season he was promoted to the Second Division B thanks to his good work during his time with the youth academy. Over the length of the season he adapted to the new category and by the end he had a tally of 11 goals, placing him as the team's third top goal-scorer.
His perseverance and competitive nature have continued to develop and in the Liga Adelante he has now become the team's top goal-scorer after achieving three goals in the five matches played so far. It's a statistic that reflects his accuracy in front of his opponents' goal, since at this stage in the competition last season he had yet to score. His teammate Juanfran follows close behind with two goals.
