For the second match day in a row the Alfredo Di Stéfano, synonymous with victory for the Whites, will once again be the venue for Castilla's Liga Adelante match when they host Sabadell tonight (21:00 CET). Barcelona B and Xerez are the two rivals that have visited the Real Madrid stadium to date and both were defeated by Toril's team with an identical score (3-2). The B team will host the Catalan squad with the aim of continuing their winning streak at home, where they haven't lost since last December.
Castilla faces a new rival in the Alfredo Di Stéfano for the second match day in a row. It's a perfect opportunity to continue clocking up points in their home territory, where they haven't lost since last December, and to continue climbing up places in the ranking. Positioned in eleventh place with six points, the squad coached by Alberto Toril face Sabadell's visit with the necessary motivation after winning 3-2 last Saturday against Xerez.
In addition, the Whites have proven to be strong and consistent at home, hardly noticing the change in category, and have demonstrated their capability in attack, notching up six goals in two matches. The track record of matches between both teams in the Di Stéfano favours Castilla, with five wins, five draws and only two losses. Alberto Toril has called up 18 players for this match. The main changes are the return of Nacho and Denis, who were both absent on the previous match day as they had commitments with their respective national teams. Antonio Martínez is off the list due to injury.
Regarding their rival, Sabadell goes into the match with their morale high after achieving a home victory against Almería in their last league match and beating Hércules 2-0 in their second Copa del Rey qualifier last Tuesday. Twelfth in the ranking, one place behind the Whites, with one win, two draws and one loss, the Catalan team will be looking to win their first victory in an away match.
The team coached by Lluis Carreras, who returned to the Segunda Division last season and finished in 19th place, are putting their faith in the current good form of their striker Aníbal, who scored three goals in the last Liga Adelante match. Sabadell is one of the teams with least goals scored against them, with only two getting through in the four matches they've played.
