Real Madrid Castilla faces their last pre-season match today in the Ciudad de Lepe stadium against Recreativo de Huelva (22:00 CET, Realmadrid TV). Toril's team are going up against a future la Liga rival and will be looking to finish their six preparation fixtures undefeated. "Recreativo is a good team and we want to end the pre-season with the same great feeling with which we started. Finishing undefeated would give us a lot of confidence going into our first match of la Liga", stated José Rodríguez. It will be an important duel to watch the Real Madrid filial manage with a team from the Segunda Division, exactly a week before their debut in the Liga Adelante against Villarreal.
Castilla goes into their last preparation match undefeated, after clocking up three wins and two draws. The Real Madrid filial's sixth pre-season match will be a new test to see their level against another rival from the Liga Adelante, after garnering two draws against Guadalajara and Alcorcón. "I think the team has worked pretty well during the pre-season against tough teams and we're really excited about the beginning of the Liga. Our match against Alcorcón was rather complicated, they're a good team that played the playoffs last year. Now we face Recreativo and I'm sure that the team is going to rise to the challenge and we're going to perform well in the match",said Denis.
The Whites will be after a victory to give them a motivation boost with a view to their debut in the Liga Adelante next week in El Madrigal against Villarreal. "We are in very good physical and psychological condition and above all very excited about the beginning of the Liga", said Denis, who also showed excitement about his recent call up to the U-21 Russian squad: "I'm really pleased in a personal way but above all I want to highlight the work of my teammates and the team, we're having a great pre-season and let's hope that it's reflected throughout the year".
