Castilla have passed their third and final test this week with distinction. The Whites celebrated a goal-fest against Gimnástica Torrelavega in their fourth preparation match, continuing their pre-season fine tuning and remaining unbeaten thus far. They dominated the match from beginning to end and their superiority brought results with goals from Denis, Quini, Cristian and two from Óscar Plano. Next Wednesday they play Alcorcón at home in their third to last friendly before the League begins.

Third and final match of the week for Castilla, who remain unbeaten this pre-season. On this occasion they travelled to Cantabria to play Gimnástica Torrelavega. Once again the Whites hit the pitch with considerable ball control, reflected after 18 minutes, which is all it took for Óscar Plano to score twice and give his team a comfortable advantage. The first came in the 4th minute, shooting with his left foot from the left side, and the second in the 18th after a great assist from Denis. With 0-2 on the scoreboard, Toril's team were keen to increase their advantage and in the 26th Denis successfully converted the penalty shot awarded after a foul from Mario.

The home team couldn't get close to the Whites' goal area, while Castilla had chance after chance at goal. In the 38th Fabinho could have scored the fourth goal after some great individual play, but his shot went high. Next to try was Omar with a header in front of the goal in the 42nd minute, but it went over the crossbar.

It was more of the same after half-time. The Whites' continued to dominate possession and demonstrate their superiority. Four minutes into the second half Benavente put the forth goal on the scoreboard with an individual play in which he took advantage of keeper Sergio López stepping out of goal. The Malecón stadium was host to a Castilla goal-fest, which continued eleven minutes later. Castilla's new incorporation, Quini, scored his first goal with the team in a beautiful individual play in which first he overcame a Cantabrian defender and then went on to beat Sergio López.

The Cantabrians faced increasing pressure from the locals in the stands and struggled with determination to save their honour. But the more they tried, the more dangerous the Whites became. Sobrino almost made the score 0-6 in the 67th with a shot from the right side that was slightly deflected by the cross bar. The minutes were running out in a match in which Castilla demonstrated its quality from beginning to end. In the 88th minute Chema could have scored to make it 1-5, but Pacheco prevented it. In the final moments of the match both teams were one player down. Cristian left the pitch after being given a red card in the 41st minute and Mosquera after receiving a foul.
