RM Castilla defeated Mirandes 3-0 in the first game in the playoffs series that will decide which side is the best of the Second Division B.
Both sides looked to control the clash from the very beginning, but soon Pablo Gil tackled Mujika in the box and a penalty was awarded to the visitors (7'). Nacho Garro took the shot and hit the right post.
Castilla then started to have many chances to score but didn't manage to net the opener until the end of the first half, when Morata dribbled past a defender in the area and goalkeeper Murcia brought him down, awarding the Whites with a penalty that was converted Joselu (40').
Murcia had been replaced by Garcia, whose goal was besieged in the second half. Morata had a good chance early on from a long shot that grazed the crossbar and Joselu nearly netted a cross by Joselu. Eventually, Jese tallied the second after an individual effort in which he dribbled past two defenders and the keeper (63'). Mirandes tried to reduce distances, but the Madridistas increased their lead again when Joselu finished off a Morata cross (71').
