Mirotic received the news that he was the MVP for the second round of the Endesa League at more than 6,000km from home – the distance from Madrid to Toronto. His performance against Blancos de Rueda Valladolid earned him the title of best player of the week with 26 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and a valuation of 46. It is the highest valuation achieved by a Real Madrid player in the last seventeen years. It is two years and nine months since anyone managed such a high score in the league.
Mirotic’s valuation was well ahead of those of the other players. In fact, Tariq Kirksay, the player with the second highest valuation, scored twelve points less, and Van Rossom, who came third, was eighteen points behind the Madrid player. Mirotic received the award during their tour of North America.
