Two days after the new interactive museum and audiovisual Bernabéu Tour opened its doors to the public with the ‘Best Club in History’ room and the space dedicated to Alfredo Di Stéfano, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and the honorary president himself inaugurated the new space. For the first time, Real Madrid fans can now view the collection of Alfredo Di Stéfano's personal objects and trophies, an audiovisual presentation with 3D effects of his most emblematic manoeuvres, testimony from the best players of all time and an interactive wall detailing the most significant moments of his personal and sporting life. “It's a magnificent exhibition and I found it very moving. It's very modern and original and illustrates my whole life story”, Di Stéfano said.
Last Wednesday the Bernabéu Tour's two new rooms were opened to the public. Today Florentino Pérez and Alfredo Di Stéfano, accompanied by his friends and family, celebrated the official inauguration of the space in which he is paid tribute through a complete collection of his personal objects and trophies, shown here for the first time. The space also includes an audiovisual presentation with 3D effects of his most emblematic manoeuvres, testimony from the best players of all time and a large-scale interactive wall composed of HD screens that offers detailed examination of the most significant moments of his personal and sporting life. It is a tribute to ‘the Real Madrid legend’, the only player in the world to receive the Super Golden Ball and the only one to score in five consecutive European Champions' Cup finals.
In the audiovisual display icons from the world of football such as Pelé, Maradona and Zidane define the ‘Blonde Arrow’ with phrases such as: “An unrivalled player”, “Maestro of maestros”, “A Real Madrid icon”, respectively. These comments touched Di Stéfano deeply: “I'm grateful to these friends for their comments in my honour. I'm very pleased”. Di Stefano was a footballer of outstanding talent, commitment and leadership of which he commented: “I made a career out of a hobby, I was incredibly lucky”.
Of the route illustrating the best moments of his life, the Real Madrid honorary president stated “I didn't expect this moment. I would like to congratulate everyone who participated in this beautiful project. It's a magnificent exhibition and I found it very moving. It's very modern and original and illustrates my whole life story. There are so many old memories, it's indescribable. I never imagined this experience. Real Madrid's prestige is important. Besides the effort that one makes, the club has responded in kind”, he concluded.
