Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez has visited the Realmadrid Foundation School in Qingyuan. Inaugurated three months ago in collaboration with the Evergrande Group, it is the biggest football school in the world. A thousand boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 are perfecting their football skills, based on Real Madrid’s training system and on sporting values that are a key element of the Foundation’s mission.

During the press conference that followed his visit, Florentino Pérez stressed that: “This is very important step in our relationship with China, where just three months ago we started our activities in this magnificent football school, where we aim to develop the students not just as great footballers but also as outstanding people.. This teamwork ethic is what makes us greater, an example of which is the alliance we have forged between Real Madrid and the Evergrande Group to create this school”.

The sports complex where the football school is situated is a high school built by the Evergrande Group where the students follow the Chinese national curriculum (elementary and middle school). It also boasts 25 football pitches which will increase to 75 over the next academic year.
