Real Madrid will participate in the 2009 Peace Cup and are just one of twelve teams who will compete. The Santiago Bernabeu will also be one of five host venues. The official presentation took place in Seville and was attended by Vicente Boluda and Amador Suarez.
The fourth edition of the competition will take place between 24 July and 2 August, The Santiago Bernabeu (Madrid), Nuevo Colombino (Huelva), Chapin (Jerez), Olimpico de La Cartuja (Seville) and La Rosaleda (Malaga) will host the matches. This year's edition will include 12 participating teams who are required to bring their top players. The lineup includes Real Madrid and Sevilla (Spain), Olympique Lyonnais (France), Liga de Quito (Ecuador), Celtic (Scotland), Seongman (South Korea), Juventus (Italy), Porto (Portugal) and Ajax (Netherlands). The three remaining teams have yet to be confirmed.
