Mesut Ozil has again proven his excellent passing skills by serving five assists in the least three games he's played for Real Madrid, against Granada, Malaga and Mallorca. He is the second top assist-man in La Liga with nine assists, only surpassed by Di Maria's 13.
Ozil gave a masterclass performance in the 5-1 victory over Granada, assisting Benzema twice and Sergio Ramos once. He assisted the French striker again three days later against Malaga at La Rosaleda. Last weekend, he helped Higuain score against Mallorca with an impressive long pass.
Mesut does a crucial job by acting as the link between midfielders and forwards, and he's well on his way to topping last year's 17-assist mark. He is currently second only to Di Maria. Cristiano Ronaldo is fourth on the league's assist ranking.
