Miljan Miljanic died on 13 January at the age of 81 in his home country, Serbia, due to a long illness. He coached Real Madrid between 1974 and 1977, winning two league titles and one Copa del Rey. The Whites won both titles in his first season at the helm of the team. He also coached Red Star, Valencia and the Yugoslavian national team. He was also President of the Yugoslavian Football Federation at one time. Real Madrid wishes to express its deepest condolences to his family. Miljanic left a great impression at the club, both professionally and personally.
