La Liga returns to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium for a match against Rayo Vallecano. It will be Jose Mourinho's 350th league match since he made his coaching debut and his men will look to bring him a victory despite the injuries of Pepe, Coentrao, Carvalho, Sahin and Altintop. The team will rely on the perfect symbiosis it has with its home crowd.

In his pre-match press conference Jose Mourinho said fans expect the team to be "optimistic, strong and calm." Real Madrid are having a great run at the stadium, having defeated Galatasaray (2-1) and Getafe (4-2), and drawn with Barcelona (2-2) so far in the campaign. The Whites will rely on the support of their fans to seal September with victories against Rayo and Ajax.
Defender Ricardo Carvalho suffers from a traumatic brain injury and therefore joins Sahin, Altintop, Pepe and Coentrao in the infirmary. On the other hand, Mourinho recovered Khedira after his suspension in the previous league clash. Cristiano Ronaldo will try to score against one of the only four First Division sides that have never conceded a strike to him. The others are Sporting and the recently promoted Granada and Betis (he scored against Atletico and Levante in the Copa del Rey).
Rayo return to the First Division after an eight year absence and are having a good start to the campaign. They drew 1-1 with Athletic Bilbao at San Mames and defeated Getafe 1-0 at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. These solid away figures show they will be a tough team to beat at the Bernabeu.
