Real Madrid's brilliant start to the 2011/12 edition of La Liga with a 6-0 win in Zaragoza was no fluke. The victory was simply another step in the excellent run as a visiting side the Whites had last season, which has led them to score 24 goals in five consecutive away league matches, something never achieved before by any other team in the championship.
On Week 31 of the 2010/11 campaign, Real Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 at San Mames with a brace by Kaka and a goal by Ronaldo. Two weeks later, they defeated Valencia 6-3 at Mestalla with a hat-trick by Higuain, another brace from Kaka and a strike by Benzema.
Their next away victory was in Seville, defeating Sevilla 6-2 at the Sanchez Pizjuan with strikes from Cristiano Ronaldo (4), Sergio Ramos and Kaka. Villarreal fell 3-1 two weeks later thanks to strikes from Ronaldo (2) and Marcelo.
Real Madrid's next away match in La Liga was against Zaragoza last Sunday in their first match in the championship this season. They defeated the locals 6-0 with goals by Ronaldo (3), Marcelo, Kaka and Xabi Alonso.
