Real Madrid want a third victory before leaving the US. Havin defeated LA Galaxy and Chivas Guadalajara in California, they now look to defeat Philadelphia Union at Lincoln Financial Field. Sahin will miss the match due to a sprain on his left knee, and it hasn't yet been determined if Xabi Alonso, Khedira and Ramos will be able play. Coentrao will rest and therefore won't step on the pitch, just as Mourinho anticipated in his press conference at Qualcomm Stadium.
Jose Mourinho has laid the foundation's for the 2011/12 Real Madrid in only two weeks. The intense training sessions he is subjecting his men to and the team's impressive 4-1 and 3-0 victories over LA Galaxy and Chivas Guadalajara anticipate a bright future for this young squad.
The match against Philadelphia Union will put an end to the Whites' run in the 2011 World Football Challenge. The aforementioned victories awarded them six points, and they received another six thanks to the seven goals they've tallied so far. This is the maximum number of points possible, given that the competition rules stipulate there is one point awarded per goal, but only a maximum of three points per game.
Philadelphia Union currently lead the table of the MLS Eastern Conference. Both sides have never clashed before, but the American side boasts the talents of Paunovic and Mondragon, who played for Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Zaragoza, respectively.
Jose Mourinho's second year at the helm of the team is living up to all expectations; his side wants to thrill US fans again with a new victory in Philadelphia.
