The Whites can extend their win streak to eight in league play

Forty-eight hours after clinching a berth in the Euroleague quarterfinals, Real Madrid return to league play against Power Electronics Valecia for a rematch of last week's Copa del Rey game won by the Whties 69-59.

While Ettore Messina and company were able to take care of business in Euroleague action earlier in the week, Valencia was dealt a major blow to its chances of moving on in the competition after losing to Olympiacos. Saturday's hosts hope to turn things around against a Real Madrid team that has won six of the last seven games between the two over the last four seasons.

CURRENT STANDINGS
Team Place P W L PF PA +/-
P.E. Valencia  5th  20 12  8 1505  1446  +59
Real Madrid  2nd  20 17  3 1566  1409 +157

Real Madrid is riding a seven-game win streak and boasts the league's highest performance index rating in the league with over 90 per game. If the Whites are to make it eight straight, they will have to rely on the consistent offense and defense, both of which rank third in the ACB. Llull, Tucker, Reyes and Suarez are all averaging more than 10 points per game, and the American and the captain tend to step up their performances when it comes time to playing Valencia.

Of note, Pablo Prigioni is three assists shy of 1500 in ACB play and is sure to reach the milestone if he continues to hook up with Ante Tomic, who has come on strong of late.

SEASON AVERAGES
TEAM PF PA REB AS BL ST TO

Real Madrid 78.30 70.45 34.30 15.10 4.40 7.45 11.90

If Real Madrid is to enjoy success in Valencia, it will need to slow down Rafa Martinez (15.4 ppg and 49% from the perimeter), Claver (11.8 ppg) and De Colo, who is the league's best sixth man with 10.9 ppg.
