Real Madrid's Iker Casillas was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 24 January 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland, where he was accompanied by UNDP assistant administrator, Rebeca Grynspan and the Secretary General of the UN's Special Advisor on Sports for Development and Peace, Wilfried Lemke.
