Jose Mourinho and Castilla coach Alejandro Menendez supervised the last session of the week this morning. Besides the 12 absent internationals, Dudek also missed the session to attend Liverpool's tribiute to Carragher in Anfield. Marcelo was also absent to continue recovering from the gastroenteritis and ankle injury he suffers from.
Once again, Pedro Leon, Pepe, Granero, Mateos and Adan joined forces with Castilla. Ball work took centre stage, starting with sets of piggy-in-the-middle while the goalkeepers did specific workouts aside from the squad.
Practice games of four players per team, including the goalkeepers, ensued. Players alternated participating in the games with practicing on keeping possession and pressurising in defence on another section of the pitch. A larger practice game, of nine men versus eight, followed, while those who didn't participate worked on set pieces.
Real Madrid will train again on Monday at 17:00 CET.
