Jose Mourinho attended the UEFA Elite Coaches Forum on Wednesday and Thursday in Nyon, Switzerland. The Real Madrid coach had time to chat with UEFA President Michel Platini, Barcelona coach Pep Guardila and other colleagues.
At the forum, coaches discussed ways to improve the rules of football regarding issues such as the double value of goals scored in away games. Possible new formats for existing championships were also discussed, as well as the use of modern technologies to decide on 'ghost goals', and the freedom of players to leave their teams to play international youth tournaments.
At the end of the Forum, Mourinho personally bid Michel Platini and Pep Guardiola farewell. The three chatted effusively and cordially.
Other coaches at the Forum were Alex Ferguson (Manchester United FC), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea FC), Arsene Wenger (Arsenal FC), Roy Hodgson (Liverpool FC), Claude Puel (Olympique Lyonnais), Didier Deschamps (Olympique Marseille), Massimiliano Allegri (AC Milan), Claudio Ranieri (AS Roma), Felix Magath (FC Schalke 04), Thomas Schaaf (SV Werder Bremen), Martin Jol (AFC Ajax), Jorge Jesus (SL Benfica), Jesualdo Ferreira (Malaga CF), Mircea Lucescu (FC Shakhtar Donetsk) and Nikos Nioplias (Panathinaikos FC).
