Germany and France cruise to victory; Portugal and Spain lose

Portugal (Carvalho) lost to Norway, Germany (Ozil, Khedira) defeated Azerbaijan and France (Benzema) beat Bosnia in Euro 2012 qualifiers on Tuesday. Sergio Canales was on duty with Spain's Under-21 side, who beat Poland, while Casillas, Ramos, Alonso and Arbeloa faced Higuain and Di Maria as Spain lost to Argentina in friendly action. 

Real Madrid's two latest German signings, Khedira and Ozil, defeated Belgium 1-0 with Germany last week and on Tuesday thrashed Azerbaijan.

Spain’s Under-21 side, led by Sergio Canales, defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in Alcoy (Alicante). Coach Luis Milla’s team then faced Poland on 7 September and won 0-1.
