In an interview with AS, Sergio Canales and Pedro Leon pick apart current events surrounding Real Madrid.
Canales:
"What has most grabbed my attention is the pace and intensity of workouts."
"Mourinho is very hands on. He frequently speaks to the players and he gives us a lot of confidence. It is great to have him here with us."
"Although I scored, it was just one match; the first of the preseason. There is a long way to go. I need to continue working hard knowing that the season draws closer."
"Madrid must always aspire to win it all and then do just that. This has always been the best club and it needs to prove that it still is."
"What most impresses me about Pedro are his ability to escape from defenders and the passes he provides."
Pedro Leon:
"All that matters is that all this hard work pays off at the end of the season."
"Mourinho is very professional. He has everything to the smallest detail worked out. He wants the team to be fresh for the start of the season."
"This is a great team. We are all excited about having a great seaosn."
"It isn't fair to point out any particular player because we are all doing well. We want to be in top form for 28 August, which is when the serious business begins."
"We have the players and coach we need to compete for every title. Although we may aspire to win it all doesn't mean we will. Real Madrid's goals is to fight for every title. We will see what happens at the end of the year."
"Sergio is an incredible player despite being so young. He is incredibly mobile and he always helps his teammates."
