Ettore Messina was happy with the victory, but not completely satisfied with how the game unfolded for his team.

"We were weak in defence at first, especially against Carroll, but we improved after the first period. We played well at the end of the first half and at the start of the second. We complicated things for ourselves once we had a 12-point cushion."

"We didn't choose the best shooting positions, but Gran Canaria also defended fiercely in the zone and it was hard to break in. I think our mistake wasn't that we focused on shooting from outside the perimeter too much, but rather that we did so without playing the ball in the zone first."

"I don't think this game will influence the playoffs much because these are usually strange. We will have to prepare ourselves for a game in which rebounding will be very important. We've already faced Barcelona and we've experienced problems against them."
