Drenthe, Kaka and Diarra stayed in the gym

Real Madrid attended their third session this week to prepare for their match against Sporting Gijon on Saturday. Sergio Ramos rejoined the squad, while the niggled Drenthe, Kaka and Diarra stayed in the gym. Youth teamers Mateos, Marcos Alonso and Rodrigo trained with the first team.

The squad jogged around the pitch and tackled strengthening and sprinting exercises. The players then played piggy-in-the-middle and worked on triangulating passes.
