Gonzalo Higuain scored a hat-trick against Valldolid on Sunday, increasing his goal-count in La Liga to 19, three less then current championship top scorer Leo Messi. Higuain has the best goal-scoring average in La Liga.
The Real Madrid striker nets a strike every 74 minutes, while Leo Messi does so every 88 minutes.
Higuain is his team's top scorer in La Liga, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 15 goals.
Both men form the most efficient partnership in the Spanish championship. They have netted close to half of Real Madrid's total goals this season. They have both scored in 12 games each.
