"The league title is very important"
Pellegrini: "We have performed well in the competition and sit atop the table"

Manuel Pellegrini fielded questions from the media on Saturday shortly before the team's departure to Valladolid.
"The team was very upset during the first 24 hours after Wednesday's match. We did what we had to in the first half, but didn't take care of all our business. We now need to focus on La Liga and battle it out until the end."
"The team is on the right track. We are playing well; the kind of football that fans like to see. You can fall from grace in very little time at Real Madrid, but I have absolute faith in what I am doing."
"Kaka has scored plenty of goals and provided many assists. He is adjusting to a new league and has my full fledged support. He is a role model on and off the pitch, but we know he can do better."
