Messina post-game statement

"It hurts to lose, but we have to pick ourselves up before the quarterfinals begin"

Ettore Messina found it hard to explain how his team gave up 30 fourth quarter points en route to a close defeat against Maccabi.
"It is hard to discuss a game like tonight's. We dominated the first three quarters with great defense and by crashing the boards. We got nervous in the last quarter and gave up 30 points, which we cannot allow."
"Maccabi overtook us in the last few minutes by penetrating the lanes and out-rebounding us. All the effort we put into the first three quarters was forgotten about. We struggled with every matchup."
"Losing hurts. The team is upset. We are not happy, but we have to pick ourselves up because we have the quarterfinals to play. No one is giving us a chance. Everyone knows we have lost a few games against Barcelona, but we have to quietly prepare in order to improve."
