Madrid III Penitentiary hosted a symposium entitled "Much more than football" on Monday, where Sergio Ramos discussed his career with and current events at Real Madrid.
"Signing for this team was an amazing feeling. I always dreamed about playing here as a kid. My roots are in Sevilla, which I will never forget, but to play for the best club in the world is an incredible feeling. I have grown as both a footballer and player here."
"This is my fifth season here and I would like to win many titles. I would love it if I could retire here."
"Manuel Pellegrini is a great coach and person. He likes to be on friendly terms with the players and he is doing a great job, earning positive results and teaching us his ideas about football."
"Raul is a role model for Madridismo. What he has done cannot be repeated by most."
"After losing in Lyon, we analyzed what went wrong and we are sure we will play well in the second leg at home. We will win and move into the quarterfinals."
"We had a lot of new players sign on this year and they need time to adapt to the system. We have been improving and we want our fans to enjoy watching us play."
"I don't want Spain to be considered the favorite to win the World Cup. We respect every opponent and will be as demanding on ourselves as we were two years ago in Austria."
