Real Madrid had a relaxed victory against Espanyol, their eleventh this season at the Bernabeu, where they have yet to fail to win. The team is one victory shy of tallying 53 points in just 22 league games, which would be a new Club record altogether. The Whites haven't conceded a single goal in their last four games and they've netted 50 so far in La Liga.
Pellegrini descirbed yesterday's performance best, "The team works well regardless of who's on the pitch." Newspaper Marca said "Ramos gave a stellar performance, Raul gave a striker masterclass inside the box and Higuain netted an impressive goal in his comeback." AS praised Kaka and dubbed Granero as Man of the Match ("He was simply the best").
"This Real Madrid is giving out great signs of quality," says Marca. The team will visit Xerez next Saturday on Matchday 22, looking to take another three points. The match will be followed by their first Last 16 clash in the Champions League against Olympique Lyonnais, which, according to Albiol, "will surely be a complicated encounter."
