Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez and Community of Madrid President, Esperanza Aguirre today signed a deal to maintain and increase the number of programs that the Real Madrid Foundation has in place with the Minsitries of Sports, Immigration and Cooperation and Family and Social Affairs. Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas were on hand, as were Executive Vice-President of the Foundation, Enrique Sánchez, Community Vice-President, Ignacio Gonzalez, Real Madrid Vice-President, Fernando Fernandez Tapias and President of Honor, Alfredo Di Stefano.
“For Real Madrid solidarity is an inalienable value. It must contribute to the education of development of the most socially disadvantaged,” stated Perez, “We want to build a world that is more equal and for that we offer the club’s services to everyone, especially disadvantaged children.”
Esperanza Aguirre later added that, “Sports seek excellence and Real Madrid is an unquestionable model of that, as is Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best players in the world.” According to the Community President, “the efforts carried out by the Foundation deserve as much credit as the club’s sporting accomplishments and make Real Madrid that much greater.”
Thanks to the agreement, more Sporting and Social Integration Academies will be opened in order to promote the relationship between immigrants and Spaniards.
